Welcome to California Juneteenth

Our National Juneteenth Observance Foundation - California extended family is dedicated to #allthingsjuneteenth.  Join us on our journey as part of a broader (1840-1875) National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom to showcase our unique "California Journey from Slavery to Freedom."  Together, we highlight lessons from our United States Civil War and spotlight our United States Colored Troops from California who helped preserve the Union while enforcing the official end to chattel slavery throughout the United States of America and territories on the milestone day of June 19, 1865, on Galveston Island, TX.

California Juneteenth is here to help build Local, State, National and International awareness about our unique

“California Journey From Slavery to Freedom.”

We are seasoned education and project consultants who add local content to build a creative and effective process for our valued California clients.

Founded in 1997, National Juneteenth Observance Foundation was created to build Juneteenth Celebrations from Sea to Shinning Sea under the leadership of the late President, Rev. Dr. Ronald Myers.

Today, our unique “California Journey From Slavery to Freedom” continues lifting up our guiding lights of Lula Briggs Galloway,

John Thompson, Joe Moore and countless “hidden figures” as we continue building global awareness through consistent education and advocacy expanding our official Federal Holiday, throughout the Great State of California.

Our initial target is all 58 California Counties and 100 top cities with around 100,000 residents from the high plains near the Oregon border of Mt. Shastina, Siskiyou County to the high desert along the border of Baja California, Mexico at Camp Lockett, San Diego County.
